How MADCAO Got Started:
It all started in the summer of 2001, Jim Brown and I was sitting at a bar talking about our first golf
trip that is coming up. We were talking about how to make it better even though we have not gone
on the trip yet, like having one every year, where should we go next, how many members do we
want, what games should we play, should we give it a name. This was when the Mad Cow disease
MADCAO change the c-o-w to your last name, since it was your idea about the trip. So now that we
have a name, we figure that we should have a logo to go with our name, it took me about a week
on the internet to find a cow picture that I like, then Jimbo put the name on it and the red on the
horns and utters.

OUR MISSION:
I want it to be fun for everybody that show up for the first time and every time. Now with 8 to 16 guys
going at any time I try to add and change things to accommodated everybody from what I have
seen and heard, so since its hard for me to make everybody completely happy and since I'm the
Emperor I will decide what is best for us. What I want is when you go on the MADCAO, you should
not have to worry about anything except have fun, drink and golf.

What MADCAO TOUR Is About:
I try to make it like the PGA Tour play 4 rounds. But I have all kind of difference side games
that you can win money or prizes on, like all par 3's, long drives,putts, fairways, most
snowman's and plus, most birdies and less. The main game is always handicap and the
second main if possible, team combine scores and there is always side games for each
rounds. I make it so that all caliber of players have a chance to win some thing. Now with this
I only want players that show up to want to have fun and if you win some things that's great if
not no big deal, but if you show up and only think about the money please don't, it
will happen only once because I won't invite you back. This is a group that just want to have
fun, drink and golf as much as possible.
The group that we have had, has been awesome. We have only had a couple of guys that will
not be invited back. There is one more that might get on this 86 list and we all know who this
is. I want as many members as possible because I know that not all of us can go on the same
trip and with a bunch of guys we can always guarantee at less 8 and above for each trip. The
magic numbers is 16 plus, if I can get 16 guys to go every time there is alot more games
that we can play.
Since our main game is handicap all members need a handicap. If a member does not have a
GHIN card, how I figure their handicap is a rough estimate of what they said they usually
shoot. To make this better all members that does not have a GHIN card is now to e-mail me
their scores every time they play so I can get them a handicap I need at lease 10 scores to
get a handicap started, if not I will make one up and you'll not going to like it.
Again I want as many member as possible, so invite all your friends. How you become a
member is showing up to a tournament and if you are invited back to another one you are in.
And your name will be added to the member's list. All members will get an MADCAO e-mail
address, and business cards.
